SUMMARY:Maplewood Rock & Gem Club Holiday Show
DESCRIPTION:Sparkling Delicious is joining the Maplewood Rock & Gem Show in Edmonds\, Washington\, on Saturday\, December 12\, 2026. I’ll be there with a table full of copper\, crystals\, butterflies\, labradorite\, quartz\, and plenty of curious little creations from the workbench. \nThe Maplewood Rock & Gem Club Holiday Show runs from 10 AM to 5 PM and brings together crystals\, minerals\, jewelry\, gifts\, and plenty of treasures for rock and gem lovers. Taking place at one of my favorite clubs! \nSparkling Delicious at the Maplewood Rock & Gem Show\nI’ll be bringing a mix of current Sparkling Delicious jewelry along with new pieces I’m working on for the holiday season. \nExpect electroformed copper\, natural crystals\, flashy labradorite\, quartz\, fantasy-inspired designs\, butterflies\, and a few pieces that probably started as experiments and turned into something much more interesting. \nEvery stone behaves a little differently in the studio\, and the electroforming process adds its own organic character. Even when I revisit a favorite design\, each finished piece develops its own beautiful character through the combination of natural materials and slowly grown copper. \nA Holiday Rock and Gem Show in Edmonds\nThe Maplewood holiday rock and gem show feels like a natural fit for Sparkling Delicious. Rock and gem shows are some of my favorite places to exhibit because the people walking through the door already appreciate unusual stones\, minerals\, texture\, color\, and all the little natural details that make a piece interesting. \nIt is also a chance to see jewelry in person rather than through a screen. Labradorite flash can change completely as you move it through the light. Quartz may reveal tiny inclusions and textures you never noticed in a photograph. Copper can have ridges\, curves\, and organic surfaces that are much easier to appreciate up close. \nFantasy Jewelry for Holiday Gifting\nDecember is prime gift season\, and the Maplewood Rock & Gem Show is a fun place to look for something outside the usual holiday shopping routine. I’ll be putting together a selection of Sparkling Delicious pieces for anyone who prefers gifts with a little more personality. \nMy work lives somewhere between a jewelry bench\, a science experiment\, and a tiny cabinet of curiosities. Electroforming lets me combine stones\, copper\, and unexpected materials into pieces that feel sculptural\, tactile\, and full of character. \nArt\, science\, and a little mad-scientist sorcery. \nA Closer Look at Electroformed Jewelry\nThe Maplewood Rock & Gem Club Holiday Show will also give visitors a chance to get a closer look at how electroformed jewelry differs from more traditional metalwork. \nEach design begins with a carefully prepared form before spending many hours\, and sometimes days\, in the electroforming bath while copper gradually builds across the surface. \nThat slow process creates natural variation. Texture develops differently from piece to piece\, edges grow their own shapes\, and the finished copper can take on a character that was not completely predictable at the beginning. \nThat unpredictability is one of my favorite parts of making Sparkling Delicious jewelry. I may start with a plan\, but the materials always get a say in the final result. \nSave the Date for the Maplewood Rock & Gem Show\nThe Maplewood Rock & Gem Show is happening: \nSaturday\nDecember 12\, 2026\n10 AM – 5 PM\nEdmonds \nCome see Sparkling Delicious jewelry in person and take a closer look at the copper\, crystals\, textures\, and details that are difficult to capture in photographs. \nYou can also visit the Shop to see what is currently available\, explore the Gallery for past and present Sparkling Delicious designs\, or check out the Journal for more from the workbench.
