Labradorite Butterfly Pendant
Midnight Flight is a Labradorite Butterfly Pendant built around one of those stones that changes completely with the light. The carved wings shift through blue, teal, green, smoky gray, and flashes of gold, giving the butterfly a different look from one angle to the next.
I love how the detailed wing carving contrasts with the more organic texture of electroformed copper. The copper frames the stone without overpowering it, while three dangling labradorite drops add movement and extra flashes of blue and green below the butterfly.
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral known for labradorescence, the shifting flashes of color that appear as the stone moves in the light. Every piece has its own internal pattern, color play, and character, which is exactly why I keep coming back to it.
Hand-Electroformed Copper
This Copper Butterfly Pendant is built using electroforming, a process I love because the final result is never completely predictable. The copper develops its own texture, edges, and subtle variations as it grows around the piece, so the setting becomes part of the design rather than simply a border.
The finished copper is sealed with ProtectaClear to help preserve the finish and slow the natural patina process. Copper will still naturally darken and change over time, and that evolving finish is part of the character of the metal.

Midnight Flight Details
